Being Sick is No Fun!

As many of you already know, Anna Claire became quite ill late Saturday night with a stomach virus and by Monday morning she was not doing well and was admitted to the hospital to be treated for dehydration. We stayed over night and got released Tuesday night. It was a difficult 72 hours and she continues to recover, but the worst part is certainly over! She was not a fan of the hospital and is now terrified of doctors and nurses. Getting the IV put in was quite traumatic for her and for Mommy and Daddy as well! Our subsequent pediatric visits are sure to be interesting. We return to the Pedatric office on Friday for a check up.

We are thankful that her health is returning and can't wait to see her running and jumping again in a few days! After a much more restful night of sleep, she was up this morning eating a bit, drinking water on her own will and even playing a little! I woke up to her saying "up, mommy, up... please." I am so relieved to see that she is on the mend. Thank you for all of the warm wishes and concern. Anna Claire has wonderful friends and family!
