Today Anna Claire is 7 months old... over the hill and one her way to completing her first year. I am sure it will happen before we know it! She is doing very well on all fours and we fully expect her to take off any day now. She is doing much better sitting and has just about cut her first tooth... it is halfway through. Hopefully it will come on through, because it seems to be causing her quite a bit of discomfort. I have not posted in quite some time, but don't blame me - blame sleep deprivation! The past few weeks have been rough on Brad and I with VERY frequent night wakings, but I think we are making some progress helping little AC sleep well at night once again. I think it is partly teething and partly seperation anxiety, which is tough on me too! She started this week with a sitter twice per week. I will now take her to Hillary's on Tuesday's and Thursday's. Tuesday I cried myself to work and spent much of the day worrying, but it was a great success!I was quite jealous that Hillary got her to take a 2 hour afternoon nap! I am hoping for the same report tomorrow and hope she continues to adjust well and enjoy her time there. Maybe I will be better and won't cry all the way around Man O'War!
Many of you have asked about Granddaddy and I am pleased to report that as of this afternoon he is back at home in Danville resting and doing much better. I am looking forward to seeing him again this week, outside of the hospital. I know the past couple of weeks have been hard on him and Grandmommy too. Brad and I enjoyed visiting with him a couple of days last weekend as we stayed in Louisville for the Thunder festivites. It was our first weekend away by ourselves and we had a great time, but missed our little babe a lot! Honey and Poppy kept Anna at their house and all in all I think it was a good weekend for them too, although they were exhausted Sunday afternoon when we arrived to take her home. I guess that is the beauty of grandchildren... you know they won't stay forever, ha!
Below are just a few of my favorite shots from our FL trip. Anna Claire loved the pool. I think she is going to be a swimmer! There are so many good pics of Jack and Anna Claire together. They were really cute and became fond of one another. We miss Drew, Ashley and Jack already! I really hope that as things calm down a bit and we all get some more rest that I will have time to return to posting weekly. For now, I hope this can hold you over! My fingers are crossed that little miss will sleep well tonight!!!

Where has the time gone?
Anna Claire is officially six months and counting. 6 months and 4 days to be exact. I cannot believe that she is half way through her first year! Time is flying by to say the very least.
We had our 6 month check up with Dr. Childer's on Tuesday and everything went very well, aside from the vaccinations. She really wasn't pleased and let it be known for quite some time after the shots had been given, poor gal. She slept most of the day on Tuesday, but never acted like they bothered her at all. She is 27 inches long and 15 1/2 lbs. This puts her at 89% in height and 43% in weight. She is still growing at a fascinating rate, but has slowed down a bit on height. I keep telling her to enjoy being tall and thin as it won't last forever, ha. She has been sleeping much better the past several days, thank goodness. I suspect she is going through a growth spurt and is also teething. This combination cause some restlessness in the crib and lately an early wakeup call around 5 AM.
We had AC's picture take about a week ago, so I am looking forward to getting the proofs so I can share with you all. It was a gorgeous day outside and we were able to take her pics at Ashland/Henry Clay in the sun. I have some great snapshots to share from the past week or so and will try to get them uploaded this evening after the little one goes down. I have received several angry requests from blog readers to step it up on entries and photos. Noted. :-) It has been a busy week for us, but we are loving life. We may get to visit with Uncle Chris on Friday as he stops in for a quick visit en route to D.C. He is in the process of moving and begins a new job on Monday and we are so happy for him!
We are off to Florida a week from tomorrow and we are SOOOOOO excited! Just a few things left to do over the weekend to gather what we need and then let the packing begin next week. We are so thrilled that Drew, Ashley and Jack will arrive in KY on Monday and we are really looking forward to visiting with family and friends in Florida.

Happy St. Patty's Day with Aunt MB
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all... a little late! We have had a great visit with MB this week and find ourselves a little sad she is leaving today. We are sooooooo glad it will be less than 3 weeks before we see her again. Destin, here we come!
Here are some great photos from the past few days... we hope Uncle Ally loves them!
